Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the detailed Eligibility Criteria for RBI Grade B Recruitment 2025. Candidates must be Indian citizens, or citizens of Nepal, Bhutan or Tibetan refugees who came to India before 1 January 1962 are also eligible. Apart from this, persons of Indian origin who have permanently returned to India from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and some other countries can also apply.
As per educational qualification, Grade B (General) requires minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD) in graduation or 55% marks in post graduation from a recognized university. DEPR (Department of Economic & Policy Research) requires Master’s degree (minimum 55% marks) in Economics, Econometrics, Quantitative Economics, Finance or related subject or MBA/PGDM (Finance/Economics) or PhD degree. Whereas, for DSIM (Department of Statistics & Information Management), a Master’s degree (minimum 55% marks) in subjects like Statistics, Econometrics, Applied Statistics or M.Stat (ISI Kolkata) or PhD in Statistics is required.
The age limit has been fixed from 21 to 30 years. However, the maximum age for M.Phil holders is 32 years and for PhD holders is 34 years.
